B.Healthy Walking Groups

Joining one or more of our free summer walking groups is a fun and easy way to get moving and make new friends. Walking together helps you stay healthy and feel good, and it's more fun than walking alone. You can talk, laugh, and enjoy the outdoors with others. It's a great way to feel part of a team. Come take a walk with us—you’ll be glad you did!

Participants may join multiple walking groups and take part as their schedules allow. By signing up for each group you plan to participate in, you’ll receive regular updates and notifications of weather-related cancellations from the group leader.

HASTINGS RIVERWALK - Tuesdays at 9:30am at the Thornapple Plaza. Approx. 45 minutes. Leader: Carrie Noteboom.

HASTINGS PENNOCK WELLNESS CENTER - Thursdays at 9:15am outside Door 3 of the Wellness Center. Approx 45 minutes. Leader: Tina Frank.

HASTINGS AREA TRAIL HIKES - Fridays at 9am. Hikes within 15-25 minutes of the City of Hastings. Approx. 1 hour. Leaders: Bobbie Taffee & Catherine Getty.

HISTORIC CHARLTON PARK & REC AREA - Fridays at 2pm. Meet at the Upjohn House. Approx. 1 hour. Leader: Kerri Steward.

DELTON - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10am. Meet behind the Delton Library. Approx. 1 hour. Leaders: Marsha Bassett and Cheryl Bower.

NASHVILLE - Thursday's at 6:30 pm meet at the Nashville VFW Trailhead [EXCEPT 3rd Thursdays at 6:30 at the Maple Valley HS Trailhead]. Approx. 1 hour. Leader: Duska Brumm.

MIDDLEVILLE - Wednesdays on the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail. Meet at 10am at the Stagecoach Gazebo. Approx. 1 hour. Leader: Katelyn Brown.

COA Walking Group - Meets monthly on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 10am. Locations will be on paved trails in Middleville, Hastings and Nashville. Registration required. Email Sydney Miller, smiller2@barrycounty.org, or call the Commission on Aging, (269) 948-4856. Approx. 1 hour.

THORNAPPLE MANOR. Thursdays at 10am - ALL abilities welcome. Led by Thornapple Manor staff. Meet at the main entrance. Approx. 1 hour.
